Support us
Dear Friend of Blue Healing Journeys,
It is with deep gratitude and shared hope that I reach out to you today. Since officially launching our mission in late 2023, Blue Healing Journeys has sought to transform the solitary and overwhelming path after losing a loved one to suicide. Your belief in our work has allowed us to create spaces where grief finds community and healing can truly begin.
Over the past year, Blue Healing Journeys has made a significant positive impact not only by fostering vital support networks for individuals and families navigating this profound loss but also by acting as fierce advocates for education on suicide prevention. We’re not just providing services; we’re actively building community—a lifeline of understanding and connection where no survivor walks alone.
Unique Paths to Healing
Our commitment to unique and effective therapy is anchored in our three core programs:
Sail to Heal: This program offers both sailing outings and extended sailing retreats, harnessing the healing power of water and the camaraderie of sailing to provide a unique environment for deeper reflection and connection.
Paint to Heal: These expressive art therapy sessions allow survivors to process complex emotions and trauma through visual art.
Write to Heal: Creative writing workshops give voice to pain and facilitate emotional release through the power of narrative.
These programs are highly therapeutic because they blend expert guidance with the restorative power of creative expression and nature.
Validated by Partnership and Presence
The impact of our work is recognized by leading institutions and organizations. We are proud to have built strong partnerships with:
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
The Nassau County Museum of Art
The Stirling Harbor Foundation
Skidmore College
South Street Seaport Museum
Furthermore, our dedication gained important media attention when our program was featured on News 12 Long Islandduring September’s Suicide Awareness Month. You can see the emotional impact of our work by viewing the segment (available on our website here: News 12).
Our Vision for 2026 and Beyond
We are tremendously proud of the foundation we’ve built, but our work is far from over. We have ambitious goals for 2026, including expanding our overnight extended retreats and reaching new geographic areas to serve even more families in need.
To achieve this expanded vision and continue providing our highly subsidized programs at affordable costs, ensuring financial barriers never prevent a survivor from seeking help, your support means everything to us.
